Colonial First State Global Asset Management's global emerging markets products aim to achieve long-term capital growth. We do not set official performance targets, however, our internal performance objective is to outperform the benchmark, usually the MSCI Emerging Markets Index, by at least 3% per annum, measured over any rolling three-year period.
As our portfolios are constructed with a bottom-up approach, the country, currency and sector allocations are a by-product of our underlying stock selection process. All decisions are made by the two portfolio managers in the Global Emerging Markets team, with the Head of Global Emerging Markets/Asia Pacific ex-Japan having ultimate responsibility for the composition of all global emerging markets portfolios.
