First State Global Resources

Our Global Resources team invests in resources opportunities around the world. We manage funds that invest both broadly in global resources equities and more specifically in agribusiness.

Investing in global resources can provide diversification and exposure to the same thematics and growth potential as emerging markets, but often with the benefits of the governance frameworks of developed economies.

Specialist team with unique skills

The First State Global Resources team combines rigorous financial skills with specialist scientific training. Drawing on a wealth of combined investment experience, the team includes mining and petroleum engineers, as well as experts in agriculture, physics and chemistry. This expert knowledge is fundamental to understanding the risks and opportunities associated with resources projects, and gives us a distinct advantage few competitors can match.
