First State Investments has been awarded Specialist Group of the Year at the Investment Week Fund Manager of the Year Awards 2008. This is an outstanding achievement and highlights the strong performance seen across First State’s entire range of retail funds over the past year. 

For the Specialist Group of the Year Award, the judging panel considered small boutique firms with the majority of its retail fund range onshore, which do not have the same breadth of range as the larger fund management houses. The panel used a qualitative judgement to pick a shortlist and winner.

First State’s Angus Tulloch was also announced winner of the Asia Fund Manager of the Year category for the First State Asia Pacific Fund.
